2008 was our diamond anniversary - we've been selling the best electricals for 75 years.

The Comet story started back in 1933, when George Hollingsbery set up a business called Comet Battery Services in George Street, Hull. One thing led to another, and today we're one of the UK's largest electrical retailers with over 250 stores nationwide. We deliver and install more electrical products and have the largest team of professional appliance engineers of any UK electrical retailer.

As if that wasn't enough in May 2008 we published an in-depth report called "From Batteries to Broadband and Beyond", a fascinating look at changing technology we commissioned from the trend forecasting consultancy, The Future Laboratory.
